How does it all work?
The accreditation process is triggered by a new request on the system with mandatory information and submitting this to the NAB. Once submitted the new request is assigned to a team of acccreditation consultants who will contact the candidate to confirm the documentation required to complete accreditation.
How do we ensure high levels of quality control?
Some may think that the thorough and proactive system outlined above would be sufficient to ensure the compliance of a candidate. The NAB, however, does not stop there. Before a file receives final clearance it is meticulously re-checked by the NAB Compliance Manager. Every piece of documentation is re-examined, serial numbers, passport and visa numbers cross-checked, documents checked again to verify, for example, that the same date of birth is present on all documents and that if a signature is required it is visible on the scanned documentation and that registration details with professional bodies match the qualification certificates provided. Only when this final process is complete will the candidate's file be completed.
How do our experienced occupational health team deal with file processing?
The process begins when a candidate's file is passed by the client to the NAB. Usually within 24 hours, and within a maximum of 48 hours, one of our specialist Occupational Health nurses will contact the candidate and conduct a personal telephone interview to discuss the candidate's individual circumstances. Often, PaSA demand a higher degree of Occupational Health screening than is usual in the NHS generally. This is carefully explained to the candidate.
The NAB does not, as do some organisations offering similar services, make a charge for the initial assessment, returning incomplete documentation to the client and make further charges for subsequent Occupational Health clearance.
As the framework develops and PaSA refine and develop their requirements, the NAB keeps its clients updated and informed.
Why should we use The Nab to process our CRB's?
The NAB's status as an umbrella body for the CRB with authorised counter-signatories, qualified to complete the whole process, significantly improves the speed with which CRB checks can be processed. This, together with our level of specialisation, offers significant benefits to our clients in the quick completion of CRB disclosures.
Our specialist CRB department's sole responsibility is to ensure that all CRB checks are processed accurately, speedily and efficiently. The knowledge generated from specialisation to this level gives the process heightened efficiency:
90% of CRB disclosures are completed within three weeks.
