Healthcare

Allied Health Professionals, Pharmacy and other non-medical staff

Working closely with the PaSA Frameworks and the Health Care Professionals we maintain up to date information to continue performing high standards.

We undertake checks on candidates wanting to work in the National Health Service, Social Services, Independent Health, Research and Retail sectors.

  • Apply for a CRB full/enhanced disclosure in the name or names of the supplying brand Check to include POVA and POCA.
  • Signed registration pack to be received at NAB
  • Registered body certificate - HPC or RPSGB (Latest Annual renewal)
  • Proof of right to work (if applicable)
  • If a student a copy of confirmation from the College
  • Original passport to be verified
  • Appraisals every 12 months including performance checks (Need copy of last appraisal)
  • Proof of right to work (if applicable)
  • Annual Enhanced CRB
  • Occupational Health Certificate (Fitness to practice certificate).
  • Health Questionnaire
  • Hep B Certificate
  • Hep B Antigen Levels (EPP Areas Only)
  • Hep C Certificate (EPP Areas Only)
  • Varicella Certificate
  • Rubella Certificate
  • TB immunology Report
  • HIV – if applicable
  • Fire Safety
  • Health &Safety (requirements of Act 74 and 99)
  • COSHH
  • RIDDOR
  • Infection Control including MRSA
  • Risk Reporting
  • Manual Handling (Practical)
  • Lone Worker Training
  • Handling of Violence and Aggression
  • Risk Incident Reporting
  • The Caldicott Protocols
  • Training in complaints handling
  • Basic Life Support (Practical)
  • Child Protection

Nurse

We accredit nurses for the following areas:

  • NHS
  • Private hospitals and clinics
  • General nursing
  • Critical care
  • Mental health
  • Home care
  • Community nursing
  • Midwifery
  • Occupational health

We make sure that we are always up to date in information from the Department of Health changes, CRB, PaSA, CSCI and the Nursing Midwifery Council.

We check the following:

  • NMC Pin Card
  • Copy of NMC Statement of Entry
  • Registered body certificate - NMC (Latest Annual Renewal)
  • Copy of nursing certificates and qualifications
  • Copies of educational certificates
  • Proof of right to work (if applicable)
  • If a student a copy of confirmation from the College
  • Original passport to be verified
  • Copy of National Insurance Card or NI number via payslip/P60/P45
  • Marriage/Birth Certificate
  • Driving License
  • Proof of Address x2 (utility bill, bank statement)
  • 4x Photos
  • Apply for a CRB full/enhanced disclosure in the name or names of the supplying brand Check to include POVA and POCA.
  • If in UK less than 6 months a police check from country of origin
  • Occupational Health Certificate (Fitness to practice certificate).
  • Annual Health Review
  • Health Questionnaire
  • Hep B Certificate
  • Hep B Antigen Levels (EPP Areas Only)
  • Hep C Certificate (EPP Areas Only)
  • Varicella Certificate
  • Rubella Certificate
  • TB immunology Report
  • HIV
  • Section 12 Certificate ( if applicable) to be kept on file.
  • Fire Safety
  • Health &Safety (requirements of Act 74 and 99)

  • RIDDOR

  • Control and Restraint (mental health only)
  • Mental Health Act
  • Basic Life Support (Practical)
  • Food Hygiene (if applicable)
  • Annual CTG training (midwifery)
  • Resuscitation of newborn (midwifery)

Doctors

Following guidelines from NHS PaSA and keeping up to date with the General Medical Council we are able to accredit GPs and hospital doctors thoroughly in the following:

  • Signed registration pack to be received at NAB
  • Appraisals every 12 months including performance checks (Need copy of last appraisal)
  • Registered body certificate - GMC (Latest Annual Renewal)
  • Copy of the Doctors Qualifications, to be verified
  • Proof of right to work (if applicable)
  • If a student a copy of confirmation from the College
  • Original passport to be verified
  • Apply for a CRB full/enhanced disclosure in the name or names of the supplying brand Check to include POVA and POCA.
  • Occupational Health Certificate (Fitness to practice certificate).
